Audio output volume is very low/there is no sound

Tap the audio icon in the bottom right corner of the screen or use the physical buttons on the right side of the unit to adjust or mute the volume. Volume settings (including ringtones, notifications, screen-lock and touch tones) can also be customised in Settings under Sound.

If a handset or headset is also plugged in, the audio icon in the bottom right corner of the screen will display and allow the user to switch between audio output sources (i.e. directly from the speaker or through the alternate device).

For wireless handsets and headsets, ensure that both the wireless component and dock is switched on, has sufficient charge and is responsive. Check also that the USB connection is securely connected to the DX80 unit.

Persistent 'tap' sound

Ensure no nearby objects are in contact with the screen or side buttons. Check that any connected peripherals are securely connected. Restart the machine.
