School Wireless SSIDs

In the Parramatta Diocese we have 6 SSIDs (Service Set Identifiers). These SSIDs connect any and all devices in schools to the internet.

CEDP's current SSIDs are:

  • CEDP Register
  • CEDP EdNet
  • CEDP Guest
  • CEDP Devices
  • Rapid
  • Rapid P

CEDP Register

CEDP Register is the first step to getting any BYOD, school owned or staff device onto the network. It helps to filter out all devices that have been retired from the network or devices that are not approved to be connected.

If you would like to know which devices are not allowed on the network, please follow the link to the Device Life Cycle

CEDP EdNet

CEDP EdNet is the SSID that most devices in the diocese are connected to. This SSID is used as the general internet connection for all school owned, BYOD and staff devices. Since the EdNet SSID is available at all sites, after connecting a device to the network once at any site, they will be able to automatically connect to any site in the diocese.

CEDP Guest

CEDP Guest is used for anybody who only needs a temporary internet connection (Contractors, performers, service men, presenters, etc). Once signed into the network they will be connected for one day. After that their device will be blacklisted and banned from connecting to any CEDP network for one week.

CEDP Devices

CEDP Devices is the SSID used for all Apple TVs and IoT devices in the diocese. After being enrolled onto this network all Apple TVs IP address are reserved for reliability in their performance.

Rapid

Rapid is the SSID Rapid Global Visitor Sign-in iPads connect to.

Rapid P

Rapid P is the SSID Rapid printers connect to.
